Hans Peter Kuhn
Artist and composer, lives and works in Berlin. His light and sound installations have been on display in numerous museums and galleries or in public sites, among others at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Centre Pompidou Paris, Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin, Seattle Art Museum Seattle, Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Modern Art Kobe, HC Andersen-year Odense (DK). At the Venice Biennale 1993 he received in collaboration with Robert Wilson the Golden Lion Award for the installation Memory Loss.
His works for theatre includes collaboration with directors Luc Bondy, Claus Peymann, Peter Zadek, Peter Stein and a long term collaboration with Robert Wilson composing music and sound environments for more then 30 productions.
He collaborates frequently with dancers/choreographers Sasha Waltz, Laurie Booth, Dana Reitz, Susushi Hanayagi and Junko Wada. For his music for dance he received the Bessie Award New York and the Suzukinu Hanayagi Award Osaka. His performances that are concentrating on the phenomena of listening have been shown worldwide.
